Casein
Casein Peptones are manufactured mostly by enzymatic hydrolysis of selected milk proteins and sometimes through chemical acid hydrolysis (see Casein Hydrolysates C series in the product list above)
The enzymatic preparations traditionally used have long been based on natural active materials such as Pork pancreas extract (also called Pancreatin powder). Biotech enzymes obtained by fermentation are more and more in use nowadays.
