Founded in 1950, ChongQing Pharma. Research Institute Co., Ltd (CPRI), is a high-tech developing enterprise containing research, manufacture and trade. It is also one of the key comprehensive research units in national pharmaceutical sectors, devoting to the research and development of chemical synthetic drugs, biochemical drugs, phytochemical drugs, Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM), pharmaceutical and chemical intermediates.

The company has good environment for scientific research, advanced apparatus for examination and experiment, abundant industrialization equipment for test, and the biggest Pharmaceutical Information Storeroom of Southwest China. Our collections include: Chemical Abstracts, American Chemistry, British Chemistry, Bear Stearns Organic Chemistry; Scrip, MarketLetter,ect nearly 20 foreign periodicals.

There are 100 employees in CPRI now, of whom the average age is 35,and above 90% of them are professional researchers with abundant practical experience in the long-term work on new drugs research and development.

CPRI has built up cooperation with many universities, institutions and pharmaceutical industry, such as Fresenius Kabi Co. Ltd.(Germany), ChemWerth Co.Ltd.(U.S.A),etc. And invited many famous researchers from home and abroad for short-term joint studies.

From establishment, we accomplished 200 scientific and technological development projects, including 32 projects awarded development prize in different levels. And 80% achievements were industrialized. The company has created 3 billion RMB production values in total from 1980s.
