MI heating cable

MICU- The MICU range of copper sheathed Mineral Insulated (MI) heating cable has been developed to meet the specific need for a cable having a high temperature capability and electrical resistance values needed for long circuit lengths. To meet the requirement, TEC has combined a copper sheath with heating conductors to enable an operating temperature of 250¡æ with resistance values from 1.7¦¸/km down to 2000¦¸/km. However, an HDPE outer sheath must be used when the cable is used in special situations, such as corrosion resistance or burying or snow melting application. HDPE jacketed copper-sheathed heating cables (MIHC) have an operating temperature of 90¡æ. MI cables have excellent mechanical strength and are resistant to corrosion. They are series resistance heaters which must be designed to provide the required heat output.

MICN- The MICN range of cupronickel sheathed Mineral Insulated (MI) heating cable has been developed to meet the specific need for a cable having a high temperature capability and electrical resistance values needed for long circuit lengths. To meet the requirement, TEC has combined a cupronickel sheath with heating conductors to enable an operating temperature of 400¡æ with resistance values from 4¦¸/km down to 28000¦¸/km.MI cables have excellent mechanical strength and are resistant to corrosion. They are series resistance heaters which must be designed to provide the required heat output.

MISS- The MISS range of stainless steel sheathed Mineral Insulated (MI) heating cable has been developed to meet the specific need for a cable having a high temperature capability and electrical resistance values needed for long circuit lengths. To meet the requirement, TEC has combined a stainless steal sheath with heating conductors to enable an operating temperature of 600¡æ with resistance values from 2.1¦¸/km down to 36100¦¸/km.MI cables have excellent mechanical strength and are resistant to corrosion. They are series resistance heaters which must be designed to provide the required heat output.

MIAL- The MIAL range of alloy 825 sheathed Mineral Insulated (MI) heating cable has been developed to meet the specific need for a cable having a high temperature capability and electrical resistance values needed for long circuit lengths. To meet the requirement, TEC has combined an alloy 825 sheath with heating conductors to enable an operating temperature of 800¡æ with resistance values from2.1¦¸/km down to 36100¦¸/km. MI cables have excellent mechanical strength and are intrinsically quite resistant to corrosion. They are series resistance heaters which must be designed to provide the required heat output.
