Main Physical and Chemical characteristic


Nitrocellulose is white floc and chip fiber, wish specific heat about 0.4 and relative density 1.65-1.67g/cm2, highly flammable, soluble in organic solvent such as ketone, ester, alcohol ether etc, sensitive to machinery impact when alcohol is lower. It can react with acid, alkali, oxidant and reductant.

 Based nitrogen content, nitrocellulose for dope falls into H and L. Type H is also called as alcohol as aster-soluble nitrocellulose, with nitrogen content 11.5-12.2%, while L grade nitrocellulose can also be named as alcohol-soluble nitrocellulose, with nitrogen content 10.7-11.4%.

Notice:
1There is no water content test for water nitrocellulose. Once customers have special request for viscosity and others, we will decide after negotiation with them.

2Damping agent: alcohol, IPA, dibutylphosphate etc, water.
Packing:
1Nitrocellulose is packed in galvanized steel barrel (280 liters) lined with polythene film bag according to DOT-17H. Net weight is 100kg for per barrel.
2Nitrocellulose for domestic is packed in composite fiber drum lined with polythene film bag. Net weight is 20-25kg per drum.
3Nitrocellulose may also be packed in composite fiber drum lined with polythene film bag. Net weight is 30-35kg per drum.
Notice in storage and transportation:
1Nitrocellulose should be stored and transported according to the state regulations of shipping and stored dangerous goods.
2This product should be moved and carried carefully during the course of transportation. It must be placed in truck with canvas cover or cabin and avoid sunlight and moisture.
3Touching acid, alkali, and greasy dirties is not allowed, mixing with inflammable, explosive substance is also forbidden.
4The product should be piled in order in the special storehouse, which must be cool, ventilated, fire prevented and no tinder near it.
5According to the temperature, package and humectant sort, this moisture content and stable degree should be check regularly during the storage. The inner package should be inverted regularly so that makes the humectant uniformity. The storage time can’t exceed one month.

Nitrocellulose chips is small white flake, in organic solvent such as ketone, ester, alcohol ether etc, with density 1.34g/m3 and explosion point 1570℃. It is ready to combust on encountering fire, decomposed by heat and reacts with acid and alkali.

5 Usage:
Nitrocellulose chips is mainly used in industry of nitrate lacquer, coating, printing, moisture-proof glass paper, etc.
Packing:
1 Nitrocellulose is packed in galvanized steel barrel (280 liters) lined with polythene film bag according to DOT-17H. Net weight is 90-120kg for per barrel. Quantity for 40 feet container is 14.4-19.2ton.
2 Nitrocellulose may also be packed in composite fiber drum lined with polythene film bag. Net weight is 50kg per drum. Quantity for 20 feet container is 11.25ton.
Notice in storage and transportation:
1Nitrocellulose chips should be stored and transported according to the state regulations of shipping and stored dangerous goods.
2The package of nitrocellulose chips should be handled carefully and avoid to impact with iron articles. Storage in the open air or under direct sunlight is forbidden. Transportation by truck without canvas cover must not be allowed.
3Nitrocellulose chips should not be transported and stored together with acid, alkali, oxidant, reductant and inflammable, explosive substance and igniter during the course of transportation and storage.
4The product should be piled in order in the special storehouse, which must be cool, ventilated, fire prevented and no tinder near it.
