Solid State Flashers



The flasher is a solid state device (without moving parts). The internal electronic circuitry provides a flash rate that is highly stable over a wide range of voltage and temperature variations. The unit is typically filled with an epoxy compound which cures making the unit impervious to dust, humidity, salt spray, fuel and hydraulic fluid. AIC’s flashers are light in weight, small in size and free from radio noise. AIC manufactures more then 20 different types of flashers and has capabilities to design and manufacture units with varying flash rates and voltage inputs. Other similar units designed and manufactured by aic include dimmers, interface units and solid state relays.

Company HistoryAircraft Instruments Company acquired by Avionic Products Engineering Corporation of Denville, New Jersey and operated as a wholly owned subsidiary.

AIC is reorganized and the company stock is acquired by the two present owners, one of which is an employee.

AIC acquires Penn Keystone Corporation of Wallingford, Connecticut. Penn Keystone’s operations are moved to Doylestown, Pennsylvania as a division of AIC.
