Terason 2000 Ultrasound
This system comes with a linear transducer. Other transducer are
available for an additional price. The Terason 2000 Ultrasound System
sets the standard for image quality in a value priced, portable
ultrasound system. The first ultrasound system on the market that
utilizes a Windows laptop computer back end, the Terason 2000
Ultrasound System includes a standard laptop PC, Terason's Microsoft
Windows based ultrasound software, and a SmartProbe. The SmartProbe is
a transducer connected to a 10 oz. electronics envelope containing the
system's proprietary beamforming hardware. The SmartProbe connects to
the laptop via a standard FireWire cable.

Terason
2000 is the worlds first laptop portable colour flow ultrasound Windows
operated, fully digital and DICOM compatible system. With a full
compliment of smart probes, the unit includes 2D PW doppler, colour
flow, power doppler, directional doppler, M-mode with 3D as an option.
Storage is in excess of 10,000 images, extendable with a built-in CDRW
drive and unit can operate on battery/mains. Diagnostic coverage
includes Radiology Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Cardiology, Vascular,
Urology, Musculoskeletal and Surgical. The system is light and can be
carried in a shoulder bag and is competitively priced with a full
upgrade path.
The computer can be used as a normal computer with
all the normal functions allowing reporting packages etc. to be
introduced. Terason 2000 opens up a new and revolutionary way of
performing ultrasound with high performance and pointing ultrasound in
a new direction
