kanamycin acid sulphate is raw material,a form of kanamycin monosulphate prepared by adding sulphuric acid to a solution of kanamycin monosulphate.It is white or almost white powder;odorless or almost odorless;hygroscopic,soluble in about 1 part of water,practically insoluble in acetone,in chloroform,in ethanol(96%)and in ether.
kanamycin acid sulphate is broad spectrum antibiotics,which is antimicrobial for gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria,used in treatment for infections from colibacillus ,aerogen bacillus,enteritis bacillus,dysentry bacillus,pheumonococcus and medicine-resistant staphylococcus.
The main toxic reactions are damaging the 8th cranial nerve and the kidneys.pay attention to hearing capacities and urinary routine after high dosage or during prolonged treatment.Renal functions and audition should be checked whenever necessary.
